Crab Brulee Recipe

Crab Brulee RecipeIngredients:

  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, chopped chives, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Add Crab Meat: Gently fold in the fresh crab meat, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
  4. Prepare Ramekins: Divide the mixture into 4-6 ramekins, filling each about three-quarters full.
  5. Bake: Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Cool: Remove the ramekins from the water bath and let them cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Caramelize Sugar: Before serving, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar over each ramekin. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it’s golden and crispy.
  8. Serve: Allow the caramelized sugar to harden for a minute, then serve immediately.

Ingredients:

Dubai Chocolate Bar Recipe

For the Chocolate Base: 

  •  200g of a good quality dark chocolate having a cocoa solid of 70% can be chopped. 
  •  In the alternative, one-half cup (120ml) of sweetened condensed milk can also be used. 
  •  2 tbsp unsalted butter 
  •  1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

 For the Middle Eastern Twist:For the Middle Eastern Twist: 

  •  One cup of roasted pistachios may be divided into: 1/2 cup chopped (75g). 
  •  ¼ cup dried dates chopped, ¼ cup (60g) fresh apricot, chopped 
  •  ½ teaspoon mixed spice 1/4 cup (30g) dried apricots, chopped 
  •  Several glugs of cold water, 2 tbsp honey, date syrup 
  •  1/4 tsp ground cardamom 
  •  It will be helpful to take a little sea salt on you. 

 For the Garnish: 

  •  Extra pistachios, chopped 
  •  A few edible gold flakes (use this only if you want a little bit of that flashy Dubai eating experience) 

 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: To prepare the chocolate advertisements start by cutting the dark chocolate into small pieces. This will assist help in melting it in a uniform manner. The dried dates and the apricots should also be chopped to small pieces so that they do not stand out when they are combined with the chocolate. 
  2. Melt the Chocolate: That is, melt the chopped dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl placed over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Stir until they have fully melted and are fully smooth. In case you are using a microwave, melt the chocolate and butter together in intervals of 20 to 30 seconds, in between which must be stirring. 
  3. Mix in Sweeteners and Flavorings: After both chocolates have melted, take the bowl off the heat and fold in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla essence. Stir until all the other ingredients are well incorporated and devoid of lumpy formation. Then stir in honey if using/ or date syrup and ground cardamom into the mixture. 
  4. Fold in the Middle Eastern Ingredients: Finally add the chopped pistachios, the chopped dried dates and the chopped dried apricots folding them very gently. It will be a rather thick paste, but do not worry about that. Nuts and fruits incorporated into the cuisines are especially a refreshing and tasty addition. 
  5. Pour and Set: Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C) For this you will need a baking dish about 8 x 8 inches; And put a parchment paper at the bottom of the dish. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the base in the dish evenly spreading it with a spatula. Top the mixture with more chopped pistachios and then, complete with a sprinkle of sea salt. If you feel like the extra pinch of glamour, you put a few special gold pieces at the end of each dish to emphasize a Dubai meal. 
  6. Chill and Enjoy: Let the chocolate bar to cool down and set in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Once set, carefully remove the parchment paper out of the dish and using a knife, cut the chocolate into bites or as desired, squares or bars. 
  7. Serve: Accompany these chocolate bars with Arabic coffee or tea to make your dessert more authentic Dubai-style. They are wonderful for desert or as a gift for your beloved ones!
